As we all know, Istanbul, with its great culture embodies different cultures all around the world. There are lots of families living in Istanbul who have different cultural backgrounds. That’s why we chose to interview multicultural youths living in Istanbul. We choose youths because they are more likely to express themselves more freely and openly about their multicultural lives in Istanbul.

Mainly, our project seeks to extend our knowledge by exploring the history and contributions of diverse ethnic and multicultural interviewees. Furthermore, our project can also represent and document the cultural heritage of Istanbul’s multicultural youths. Another goal of ours in choosing this project is, our project may raise awareness of the value of multiculturalism and how it has shaped Istanbul’s identity. According to us, interviewing with different cultural youths has created a new different point of view for us and taught us a lot.
